A few blog posts back I shared a card tutorial demonstrating how versatile die cuts can be. For those who missed it check it out here ... I ended up making 2 more cards using this die cut set from Kaisercraft. Here is card number 1... Supplies used:  Kaisercraft Collectables Fly Free, Fly Free Sticker sheet, Rhinestone - silver, Decorative Dies - Tag Shapes Other: White cardstock, Wink of Stella - clear, Gold thread, Gold pen, Copics V09 R37, Sequins, Stitched Rectangle Die And card number 2... Supplies used:  Kaisercraft Collectables Fly Free, Fly Free Sticker sheet, Rhinestone - silver, Decorative Dies - Tag Shapes Other: White cardstock, Wink of Stella - clear, Gold thread, Gold pen, Copics V09 R37, Sequins, Stitched Rectangle Die. I've added a few how to photos with the second card, the process is pretty simple - it's all about placement. I'm sure there are a few more other ways I could position this d

Throwback Thursday

Image
I've noticed lately my crafting style has changed a little. Not that its a bad change...I love the cards Ive been creating... Being part of a design team, working from a "kit" has meant more paper play than my usual stamping, as well as exploring different ways to use die cuts...but I do miss playing with paints, inks, watercolours and sprays (don't miss the mess...). My inktense pencil, prisma's and tombow markers are collecting dust and its been ages since Ive used gesso and stencils. But with 2 young ones I just don't have the patience or the time to get messy and that's okay for now. :) Today's post is a throwback Thursday - dedicated to time and making mess :) Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a messy weekend! *wink* Happy Crafting! Samantha

Cleaning up my craft space...

Image
Bah-hahahaHA! Title should read "trying to clean up my craft space!!" So before I start my next card kit projects I like to clean up the chaos I make. Instead I made this tag with the scraps that were on my desk from PF July's kit ...and made more mess.  Are you a messy crafter too? I've tried to keep my work space neat and tidy, but I just can't do it.  Happy Crafting and enjoy the rest of the weekend! Samantha

Junes kit cards are done and dusted, but I thought Id share the last few cards that were created using this kit.   Supplies Used: White Card Stock, June Kit – Kaisercraft Paper – Bloom, Kaisercraft Decorative Die – Butterflies, Sequins, Microsoft Word Font – Dreaming of a new day - Size 17, Gold Leaf Pen. Supplies: White Card Stock, June Kit – Kaisercraft Paper – Wildflower/Forget me not (reverse side)/Spring, SG Sticker Sheet, Kaisercraft Decorative Die – Butterflies, Scalloped Die Cut and Sequins. Supplies: SG bloom, Kraft Paper, SG Stickers Kaiser Butterfly Die Other: gold pen, gold thread, vellum, glue dots, Kaiser Pearl Embellishment. I'm now working with August's Kit - it's masculine themed and I've got crafters block! Yikes!

A Card Tutorial

Image
OMG! I can't believe its July!! Seriously...time is flying by! The next few months are going to be crazy. July, August, September & October are birthdays, birthdays and more birthdays. In August my (not so) little boy (anymore) will be turning 3 and October marks my baby's first birthday! They both just need to STOP growing...  So...for me this means birthday planning, attending parties...Oh! and did I mention a family ski holiday that's fast approaching (totally not organised, but still very excited). Crazy times ahead...but I love crazy and to make things more interesting I'm making more cards then ever...Whoohoooo! I wanted to start off July by sharing a card tutorial with you. I always wanted to share more with my blog readers. I personally love watching YouTube videos and getting inspiration and new techniques from many of the crafty blogs I follow. I'm not quite ready to make a video but I thought I'd at least take some photos to show you

Introducing...

ME!!!! Check it out here  at the paper flourish blog! Here is another inspirational card I created from June's 'kit in a box'. I made this card with leftovers, and just love the layout. It was a really fun card to make :)  I used a few bits from the Kaiser Secret Garden Collectables and a few from the sticker sheet. Add a few pink, black and gold accents and its a card!! I am also very excited to show you a sneak peak of what I've been working on for July's kit! It took a little time but....I eventually fell in LOVE with the paper - think bright, bold, and beautiful!  Here is a little preview :) For details on where to purchase these kits check out the Paper Flourish website . Happy Crafting! Samantha
