Two Quick Cards

Image
Thought I'd quickly share two cards I quickly made over the weekend. I used black and white to inspire me (though I couldnt resist using some gold!) and used My Little Paper Worlds Stitched Triangle dies from my new release which I absolutely love! Simple inlaid die-cutting technique with some stamped 'thank you' sentiments from Unity's April 2015 sentiment kit. The second card again uses inlaid die-cutting but this time the images are stamped on the main card. Linked to Scrapbook Boutiques current challenge -  here . Linked to Can you Case it? current challenge -  here . These dies are now available for purchase along with the rest of My Little Paper World dies and sequins - more information can be found here . Another Masking Tutorial!

Image
As promised I wanted to share another quick photo tutorial. Again using a mask this time with a stencil! This is such a great simple technique - and I do love getting the most out of my inks! So I made two cards using a stencil (Kaisercraft) and Distress Inks - Blueprint Sketch, Tumbled Glass, and Salty Ocean. I first cut some white card stock (canson) slightly larger than my rectangle die (My Little Paper World - Rectangle Nesting Die - TRIBAL) . I taped it down to my craft mat. Taped my stencil, where I wanted the pattern to go. Then I covered the top part (above the stencil) with white printing paper, taped this down. To make sure that I only got distress ink where I wanted the ink to go! Note: I've made many mistakes thinking that I could sponge the ink neatly and not get it everywhere!!! I've come to terms with the fact that I am a messy crafter who needs to take these extra precautions. I started with the lightest colour -

A+ for me!

Note: I'm a little behind on my blog posts! That's right!! A+ right here! Feel like I'm back in highschool and passed an exam with flying colours! I entered this card into Can you Case It Challenge . Super thrilled that the design team thought it worthy to be given a A+. Also BIG news - I will be releasing two new die designs in JULY! The Winner is.... and a Just for FUN Challenge!

Image
I've decided to run a few challenges over on My Little Paper World Facebook Group. Last month I ran my first challenge (with prize) themed: Black, White with a pop of colour. This month the new theme is detailed below.  This is a 'JUST FOR FUN' Challenge.  No Prize component (this round) - Just thought I would run a few monthly challenges to help boost creativity! Here are some helpful guidelines: Use ANY MLPW product (dies or embellishments) and let your imagination go wild and create what your heart desires (be it a card, scrapbook page, mixed media project or anything else you feel inspired to create. ADD your project to the CHALLENGE ALBUM (Title: Just for FUN MLPW Challenge #2) or to the main FB page to share what you've created!. You are welcome to create as many cards etc. as your wish and feel free to provide as much positive feedback on everyones creations!   The theme: Nobody Puts Baby in the 'Corner'.   A
