P.U.S.H

Image
Hello! I've had this stamp in my Unity collection for awhile now. So I decided that I needed to use this stamp for this months Unity challenge. I coloured using copic markers, and I ended up flipping the sketch as it worked better with the size of the stamp and card size.  Unity stamps: P.U.S.H and S.M.A.K kit February 2015 (used in the background on the grey card - didnt show as much as I'd like it to). Totally love this kit - and hope to play with the rest of these stamps soon. This stamp really spoke to me this week - For those of you who've follow my last few posts we did a big move back home. Its been a tiring week and a little stressful, one where my patience has been tested a few times. As I was colouring in the stamp I was reminded that things are not always in my control and that in time things will settle and get better.   This will also be link to Unity's friends with flair (Friday) and SSS Monday Challenge: Anything go

A Happy Hello...

Image
Hello there!  Just a quick post tonight, sharing a card I created this week. I have to say I'm totally in love with all these flower stamps I bought recently - and I'll apologise in advance as the next few post may be very flower orientated. This stamp (Hero Arts - Flower Garden) has so many beautiful small flower, it was hard to choose which ones to use. Stamped using various dye inks - mainly memento inks, some lawn fawn. I love how some cards just make you feel happy - this is one of them for me!  Linked to Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Linked to YNS Colour Challenge Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting! Waiting....and a card!

Image
So I've arrived home, safe and sound, just me and my 2 little ones. My husband is still in Canberra finalising last minute bits n' pieces and will join us hopefully, sooner than later... In the mean time though, I'll have to wait a week before our furniture, the kids toys, MY CRAFT ROOM!!! all arrive...and the only thing worse than packing is unpacking!  I was however, a little smart, I took some supplies with me on the plane, and the last 2-3 weeks purchased a few awesome stamps, new ink pads etc and had them already posted here.  Now, when I went to unpack my suitcase, I found that my stamp press unfortunately didn't make it! Devastated... but I was able to mend it with good old tape! It will eventually need replacing, but I did manage to make my mother's day card using it.  Here is the damaged stamp press.... :( and here is the card I made with it.   (Totally in love with the added dimension - using Mama Elep

Throwback Thursday!

Image
The last few days has been so difficult, not being able to make a card while we pack up the last few rooms and get organised for the move back to Adelaide next week. However, when I'm not packing, changing nappies, watching "peppa pig', taking the dog for a walk, cooking, online craft shopping etc. I'm blog hopping, or pinning ideas on Pinterest ready for inspiration to hit when everything is unpacked. I'll be ready to get right back into it! I've decided this weeks blog requires a 'Throwback Thursday', a card to inspire others... This is a card I created 2013 for mothers day and with May fast approaching some mothers day card inspiration might just be what you need :) Created using a Prima stencil and watercolour paint. The next card, also for mothers day was created using a Hero Art Stamps and Inktense Watercolour Pencils.  With all the packing, then the unpacking, my next project will be to create my Mothers d

A Unity Card Challenge (March)

Image
You know when you create something, and go.....argh! should have used different card base paper instead....This was one of those moments. :) I made the white based card first and immediately decided kraft card was the way to go....and then created a second card, I also decided to change the orientation and follow the sketch (see below) a little more. This card was created using the sketch and Little Bunny For You Unity stamp for their March challenge. I like both cards, but I think I prefer the kraft one over the white. I love white based card stock (perhaps a little obsessed with it) when it come to creating cards, really trying hard to break this habit... what do you think? White or Kraft? Do you have a signature when it comes to creating cards? I'm pretty sure if you look back on my blog posts most cards are created on white!!! Thanks for stopping by this week.
