Have a Hoppy Easter...

Image
In today's post I'm sharing a whole bunch of Easter cards I created. I normally don't make Easter cards but I finally opened some of my Simon Says Stamp card kits from last year and decided Easter was a good place to start! Hope you all have a safe and wonderful Easter - I will be spending this time with family and a little of it will be making some new cards to share with you. I also have some fantastic news that I can't wait to share but for now I will leave you with the below card inspiration. Some of the items used will be listed under each photo. Alphabet Stamps: WPlus9 Alpha stamp/dies, Paper Smooches Alphabet Graffiti, Sweet Stamp Shop Mixed Alpha Ink: Gina K Ink Simon Says Stamp: My Kind of Peep (March Kit 2016) Simon Says Stamp: My Kind of Peep (March Kit 2016) Sentiment: Created in Word. Bunnies on my Mind...

Image
The last two weeks I've been making Easter cards using a Simon Says Stamp Set called My Kind of Peep. I didn't really get any of the sentiment though...it might be American Slang? but none of the sentiments were appropriate. So...at first I just printed a few sentiments out (I'll share these cards with you soon.) I then realised (lets call it a moment of clarity from a sleep deprived mother of three...) that I have at least TEN alphabet stamps and coordinating dies that allow me to make my own sentiment! So using the Bunny from the SSS My Kind of Peep set and a few alphabet stamps (WPlus9, Sweet Stamp Shop, Paper Smooches) I made these two baby cards... I really love the WPlus9 alpha set. I'm still making a few more cards using a combination of these stamps but I thought I'd share and remind you all to use those alphabet stamps!!! (Just in case you were having a sleep deprived - whoopsie kinda moment like me!) Entered into  Simon Says Stamp Monday...

Paper Smooches Challenge...

Image
Recently I ordered a few Paper Smooches goodies and last night I finally got the chance to play with one of the dies which I've wanted for awhile. Paper Smooches current challenge is 'giving thanks' so this month I'm playing along... Here is the card... Pretty simple really - a few layered die-cuts and the sentiment was done using my Motex labeller. Also entered into Simon Says Stamp - Shine Bright like a Diamond  by using some glitter paper behind the sentiment and some glitter enamel dots. Samantha These premium steel dies are compatible with most die-cutting machines such as Cuttlebug, Vagabond or Bigshot.  Prices (in AU$) see  here  and PayPal available. Who doesn't love to colour?  Adult colouring books seem to be making a big splash at the moment. You can buy them in shops or online and they are absolutely stunning images/patterns. I came across this image looking at an online book (that I'm still pondering about buying)...  This one was a free image (bonus) and if you pinterest or Google you'd be able to find a number of free downloads that you could colour in without having to buy it. I printed it out a manageable size that could then be turned into a card, die cut it out and coloured it in using copic markers. (First time colouring in a large image and not leaving any white space!) I love it! Such a relaxing way to spend my nights once the kids have gone to sleep, didn't have to think much about it, just went with the flow :)  I will add that I was very happy with how my copics went with the printed page, I was concerned that it might smudge and I'm not sure how it would go with watercolour, but ...
