How cute is this!!

Image
Today I'm sharing a card I made. This little cute mouse was coloured as part of the 30 day colour challenge I'm taking part in. Run by Kathy at the daily marker. Details linked here .           This is a Whipper Snapper Design Stamp - Bradstreet's Birthday coloured in using my copics and a dotted blending technique.  I will be using this card for my son's first birthday coming up in 2 weeks. I'm rather proud that I'm organised especially since I've just finish writing in my other munchkins birthday card which was in August!!! Though I must admit I put a lot of effort into what I write in their birthday cards - I like to summarise the year...so I list down their favourite food, shows, toys. As well as a few sayings, and any other precious moments or milestone that has happened in that year. I don't scrapbook anymore - just don't have the time...but these birthday cards are me journalling what I want to remember!   Speaki

Hello... Just a quick share today. I made these cards after being inspired by a Unity video shared by Heather Hoffman . Card link here . Such a simple, yet awesome idea! White pencil on kraft...I love it!!! This was Day 6 efforts for The Daily Marker's 30 day colour challenge. I didn't have a lot of time today, and this was a super quick way to get some colouring in... Thanks for stopping by!   Samantha

Colouring in Challenge - a finished card...

So it took 3 days to finish colouring in this stamp! Which for me... and my always on the go boys, is pretty good! For those reading my blog for the first time - I'm participating in Kathy's (AKA The Daily Marker) 30 day Colour Challenge. My first stamp was Whipper Snapper Designs - Bow Wow Birthday. A bigger stamp - something I'd normally not buy because it just takes too long for me to finish. So it was perfect for this challenge. I coloured over the 3 days (10-30mins each day - interrupted!) and finished it today :) YAY!!! Here is the finished card. This little pooch is so cute - I've called her twitch after my sister's little dog. Very please with how it turned out - A few times I felt like giving up. Not the best with prisma pencils, choosing colours and finding my 'colour' groove was a challenge (which is all part of the fun!) Entered into Virginia's View Challenge - All this Coloured. This is my next project: Day 4 Lo

30 Day Colouring Challenge...

I follow Kathy from The Daily Marker , love her cards, her videos, always enjoy reading her blog. Well...she is doing her 3rd 30 day colour challenge, and I've generally just observed the great work that's produced (with many link ups to others also participating in the challenge). This time I've decided to join in the fun. For those who want more information here is the link . For me, the challenge is to be able to take 5mins in a day and colour. I might get more time, of which Id then most likely will turn it into a card. But I'm rather happy with what this challenge is all about. To quote Kathy on her blog: "It’s just about adding more time to color and carve out a little time for something that makes you happy." And its does! So...here I go. I won't be blogging it daily (HA! finding time to colour and blog - don't make me laugh!) But If you follow me on instagram I'll post daily photos of my progress. I'm currently working through

Crazy Birds...

Image
I couldn't help myself... Last week I splurged on craft supplies. Specifically, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous 'Crazy Bird' Stamps and their accompanying dies...as well as the 'Crazy Talk' and the 'Crazy Thoughts' stamps. To be honest....I didn't even try to stop myself!  WHY??? These stamps are fantastic! I didn't really like them at first either...but then saw Kristina Werners take on it and fell in love with that sad bird face and sentiment! They were pretty easy to colour too...I don't particularly like my prisma pencils (not because they're not good, but because I'm never really happy with my colouring technique when using them...) but they worked so well with these birds on kraft card. It took probably 5-10mins max to colour each one! Enjoy!  I missed your birthday card: PC 938, PC929, PC932, PC 956, PC930, PC 927 It’s your special day card: PC 922, PC923, PC1002, PC 916, PC918, PC938
