My Little Paper World

Today I have six cards to share with you...that's right SIX! It may feel a little 'it's been done before' but I really couldn't help but pair this Jane's Doodle - Unicorn set with rainbows... Here is the first card: I coloured the unicorns with my Copic markers - keeping to the rainbow colour scheme. They were cut out using my silhouette cameo, along with the clouds and stars in this stamp set. I've used a number of dies to create the background. The rainbow is My Favourite Things . The tiny stars, hearts and bows are Avery Elle. The BIG cloud is a Mama Elephant die. I also added a slider die - this one comes from Lawn Fawn. As you can see in the photo below I also added a few extra 'bits' to add dimension and texture to this card. I've used a lot of glitter! Glitter paper, chunky glitter (Unicorns wings and Clouds), glitter pen, and Stickles -Gold (Unicorns horn). I used glossy accents for the cloud and stars. Added My Little P...

Today I'm sharing a card I created and I just have to say how much I love this stamp/die set from Mama Elephant. This sentiment is so beautiful that I had to use it - I'll be saving this card for next years mothers day :) Just not sure if its for my mum or for me....lol (I really love this card!) I also got to (finally!!!) try creating my own night sky background using distress inks -     I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Victorian Velvet, and Antique Linen. This video by Kristina Werner is an excellent video showing you the technique involved. Simple really....mask it off and start blending till your happy :) I added 'droplets' of Dylusions spray - White Linen and gold and silver leaf to the stars and moon to give them an awesome shine. Over the weekend I attended a first birthday party. Here is the card I made for him! I love this mama elephant stamp set - such a beautiful sentiment. Hello! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, especially with the nice weather on Sunday - Today however, has been cold and wet! Perfect for staying home and making cards!  This card was very fun to make. I used mama Elephants - in my heart stamp/die set and Wplus9 - hello die cut. And on the inside I printed out the words 'Birthday Girl'. I can't wait to play with this stamp set some more this week. Link up to: Happy Crafting!  Samantha

So I've arrived home, safe and sound, just me and my 2 little ones. My husband is still in Canberra finalising last minute bits n' pieces and will join us hopefully, sooner than later... In the mean time though, I'll have to wait a week before our furniture, the kids toys, MY CRAFT ROOM!!! all arrive...and the only thing worse than packing is unpacking!  I was however, a little smart, I took some supplies with me on the plane, and the last 2-3 weeks purchased a few awesome stamps, new ink pads etc and had them already posted here.  Now, when I went to unpack my suitcase, I found that my stamp press unfortunately didn't make it! Devastated... but I was able to mend it with good old tape!
