Elizabeth Craft Designs: Masculine/Father's Day Card

Image
Hello and Welcome! Elizabeth Craft Designs are showcasing Masculine/Father's Day cards on their blog! Here is my take on this months creative theme. I decided to turn them in to birthday cards - but these are such a gender neutral design that you could put any sentiment on and it would work! I used Elizabeth Craft Designs: Geometric Background die along with Elizabeth Craft Designs: Your Day Stamp Set. I coloured the first card using Elizabeth Craft Designs: Watercolour Palette . Happy Crafting! Samantha

Elizabeth Craft Designs: You Make Me Happy!

Spring themed cards for inspiration are being showcased on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog. Here is what I came up with using Elizabeth Craft Designs: Small and Large Flower Die . This was a very simple card to create - just good old die cut layering using bright coloured cardstock and vellum. The Banner Sentiments stamp (and co-ordinating die) had the perfect sentiment "You make me happy!" I embellished the card with machine stitched lines, sequins and a twine bow. I normally use white cardstock for my backgrounds but changing it to yellow really made the card scream Spring! Happy Crafting and check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog - here for more Spring/Flower inspiration!

Elizabeth Craft Designs: Winter Animals

Hello! I feel I haven't posted on my blog for awhile in the lead up to Christmas! Not that I haven't been creating cards - I actually feel I've made too many cards (for Christmas) and my blog has just not been kept updated. However, I do hope you'll follow me on Instagram - My Little Paper World , I post all my cards here and it's a great way to follow my creative journey for the new year! Today I'm sharing a set of cards I created using Elizabeth Craft Designs: Winter Animals stamp set. I really wanted to create a repetitive background using the small pattern stamp and I thought that sticking to a monochrome colour scheme would make it easier. What are your thoughts on a blue owl? Purple Bear? Pink Squirrel? or Orange Fox?  I used my Copic Markers to colour each animal in - again because I went with monochrome colours the colouring was very simple. I picked three to four shades of blue and individually coloured each section of the owl. The sentiments...

Elizabeth Craft Designs: November Designer Challenge

Image
This months  Elizabeth Craft Designs  designer challenge theme is a  Floral Christmas - this could be simply a Christmas tree or the pretty Poinsettia or other Christmas foliage that is used for Christmas decorations. For my card today I am using the new released  Poinsettia   Clear Stamp set with coordinating dies and the  Classic Christmas Sentiments  Clear Stamp set. Coloured in with Copic Markers:  Leaves: G14/G16/G17/G19 Flower: R22/R24/R27/R29 I kept this card quite simple. Firstly by stamping a light grey leafy background before colouring in and adding the Poinsettia flower. I embellished the card with sequins and added a twine bow. I also highlighted the center of the flower with a gold pen.   For more Christmas Floral inspiration check out what the design team has created - here . For our Challenge today Elizabeth Craft Designs is giving away a  $20 Gift Card to  3 lucky winners.  To ent...

Elizabeth Craft Designs: Time To Celebrate

Image
Hello! Samantha here sharing a wonderful way to use up any scraps of leftover paper as well as using Christmas dies in a non-Christmas card! Last week I shared a card and during my creative process accumulated quite a bit of paper scraps as well as already cut pieces made with the Ribbon Tree die set. I didn't want to make another Christmas card but I didn't want to throw out the leftover bits. Instead, I found a way to use what was originally meant to build a Christmas tree for a birthday card using repetitive patterns and the Birthday Sentiments stamp set! Here is how I did it! Card Instructions: Step 1: Use the Ribbon Tree die set to cut lots of pieces of patterned paper and cardstock in non-Christmas colours. Adhere in rows to the card front, turning the pieces so the angles form long rows as shown. Repeat until the entire card front is covered.  Step 2: Trim off any excess paper at the edges. Round the top right corner. Step 3: (Optional) Add machine-...
