City of Love

Image
So I took advantage BIG time of Unity's big sale and got some awesome red rubber goodies which came in the mail last week! Couldn't wait to get creative but alas a teething baby, and toddler who thinks nap time is overrated meant very little time in my craft room - so it took a few days to make this one card but when I saw this stamp set I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! Not too early to get ready for Valentines Day?? Entered into Simon Says Stamp - Trio-Tastic Challenge (Clouds stamped 3x, row of 3 hearts at the top and 3x hearts at the bottom.) Happy Crafting! My July Cards...

Image
Today's post will be a quick one. Typing one handed at the moment as I've got bubs sleeping in one arm, and I dislocated my finger playing netball. So technically I'm really only typing with half a hand... Anyways enough with the typing... Here are my July cards created from Paper Flourish Kaisercraft Card Kit. Loved creating these cards, loved the paper from Kaisers Fly Free Collection and the die cuts.  A few favourites... This card entered into SSS challenge : Tie it up and the rest... :) Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting! Samantha

Introducing...

ME!!!! Check it out here  at the paper flourish blog! Here is another inspirational card I created from June's 'kit in a box'. I made this card with leftovers, and just love the layout. It was a really fun card to make :)  I used a few bits from the Kaiser Secret Garden Collectables and a few from the sticker sheet. Add a few pink, black and gold accents and its a card!! I am also very excited to show you a sneak peak of what I've been working on for July's kit! It took a little time but....I eventually fell in LOVE with the paper - think bright, bold, and beautiful!  Here is a little preview :) For details on where to purchase these kits check out the Paper Flourish website . Mother's Day Card #2

Image
So...I had thought I was all organised this year, I had already made my mum in law her mothers day card. But my hubby asked if I could make another one with a specific sentiment...so I did! : No excuses needed here to get crafty! Bonus:  now I'm all organised with a mother's day card for next year too :) Entered into SSS: Lets get sentimental challenge. But wait! There's more... I loved making this card with this stamp from mama elephant. Super easy stamping technique too - using coloured pigment inks over white.   So using the same technique and stamps I made this for my mum. Happy Crafting! Samantha

Unity Challenge

Image
So I've been a little quiet this last week on my blog but I have been super busy (still settling in/unpacking boxes) and getting creative. Today I'm sharing a quick card I created for this months unity's challenge (my second entry for this month)... I wanted to create something bold with funky patterns and this paper was perfect. I used stamps: Have some Sass and another stamp from the SMAK kit February 2015.  I followed the sketch (see below) very loosely - wanted to change it up a little :) Enjoy!       This is my FWF entry for this week and entered into Simon Says Stamp: Lets get sentimental Challenge. Thanks for stopping by and for those crafty mums out there - I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day on Sunday :)  Happy Crafting! Samantha

A Happy Hello...

Image
Hello there!  Just a quick post tonight, sharing a card I created this week. I have to say I'm totally in love with all these flower stamps I bought recently - and I'll apologise in advance as the next few post may be very flower orientated. This stamp (Hero Arts - Flower Garden) has so many beautiful small flower, it was hard to choose which ones to use. Stamped using various dye inks - mainly memento inks, some lawn fawn. I love how some cards just make you feel happy - this is one of them for me!  Linked to Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Linked to YNS Colour Challenge Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting! A Unity Card Challenge (March)

Image
You know when you create something, and go.....argh! should have used different card base paper instead....This was one of those moments. :) I made the white based card first and immediately decided kraft card was the way to go....and then created a second card, I also decided to change the orientation and follow the sketch (see below) a little more. This card was created using the sketch and Little Bunny For You Unity stamp for their March challenge. I like both cards, but I think I prefer the kraft one over the white. I love white based card stock (perhaps a little obsessed with it) when it come to creating cards, really trying hard to break this habit... what do you think? White or Kraft? Do you have a signature when it comes to creating cards? I'm pretty sure if you look back on my blog posts most cards are created on white!!! Thanks for stopping by this week. My Application for Paper Flourish Design Team.

Image
If you've read my last post, you would know that I'm in the awful process of packing up household belongings ready to move back home in 2 weeks. However, I'm not surprised that a few craft supplies never made their way into a box and that a few have made their way out! And....even though I'm suppose to be packing up it hasn't stopped me from buying MORE craft supplies!  Anyways, here is a card I created specifically for paper flourish design team call out. You can find out more details about the DT call out here ....(open within Australia for those who wish to apply!). I created this card using Kaisercraft -Hello Sunshine paper and their Cherry Blossom Clear stamp. I also embellished using Kaisercraft black pearls. It was also my first go at using one of mama elephant dies and I totally love how it finishes this card. Oh! I also added a background stamp (on the white card stock) another Kaisercraft clear stamp - Believe. ...

A Spring Inspired Card...

Image
This week (or should I say the last few weeks) have been super crazy busy! We got good news, my Hubby renewed his work contract with the option to move back home to Adelaide (which of course we jumped at!) So...we are now packing our belongings in to boxes and the worst room is...come on! have a guess! :) Yup!! My craft room... But its mostly packed up, with the exception of a few stamps, paper packs, a handful of embellishments and my copic markers.  Last week, in between all the craft room packing (I got distracted a few times!) I created this card, its from Unity's ...bunches of love stamps. I decided to make a few, I hate having left over paper, so I tend to create a card (generally for someone's birthday coming up) and then duplicate it so I have a stash of cards for those occasions you forget someones birthday coming up!  This was the perfect stamp set to do this! While stamping, I wished I had that misti tool Ive seen a few times now through youtube videos,...

There's a house..or two!

Image
I LOVE this card!  Inspiration from here. I created the background using Unity Stamp: What Matters Most.  This involved lots of masking... I then used paper from Kaisercraft: Hello Sunshine and paper pieced the stamped image. Cut that out, and made a card...or two! Actually four...but who's counting... The sentiments were printed off from my computer and the little red heart was a die cut from Lawn Fawns "a little birdie told me" die set. 'Home is wherever I am with you'   'House + Love = Home' 'From our home to yours'    'Home is a starting place for LOVE and DREAMS'   Linked to Unity FWF Linked to Challenge: Unity Card Sketch (loosely followed) Thanks for stopping by!
