A Super Quick Card!

Image
Just sharing another card I made (with the help of master 2 1/2yo). Stamp is unity -  Vase with stripes.  C oloured with prisma pencils and gamsol. A super quick card to make as master 2 1/2yo did most of the work. I just added some washi tape, sequins, twine and a stamp I coloured in during the week (for practice)  :) Entered into  ARTastic Inspiration Photo Challenge . Link to Unity Friends with Flair. Colouring with Prisma Pencils & Gamsol

I find colouring in a very therapeutic exercise. I'm not the best at it, and if I had to colour on a larger scale I'd probably find it quite frustrating as I don't always have the time or a huge selection of colours to play with. But... for small stamps I LOVE it! Using prisma pencils and gamsol I coloured this stamp by unity and made it into a card.  This cards will be link to Friend with Flair - Unity. A Different Kind Of Guestbook.

Image
Late last year while visiting family interstate, we decided to also get our little one Baptised. I never shared the 'guest book' I created with my first child, and seeing that I have just finished gluing all the pieces down for both of them I thought Id take some quick photos and share them now.  Originally I thought Id use them (when I got around to it) as a Project Life page, but I loved them so much I decided to see what one would look like in a frame. I haven't decided how I want to display them but I love that I was able to record loved ones that attended these special days. Have you created something special to record those who attended a special occasion? I wish I had done something like this for my wedding day... A not so CAS card...

Image
My last blog I shared a CAS (clean & simple) monochrome card I made using a Unity SMAK stamp and a masking technique.   I liked this stamp so much I wondered what it would look like if the whole card was covered with it. Here is the card.   Entered into Friends with Flair - Unity. Happy Crafting! Samantha

A CAS card with water colour

I'm Back!!!

Image
I'm Back!!! Well it was suppose to be a short break....but what can I say? I had a beautiful baby boy, and have for the last year devoted my time to my boys who are my world. But that doesn't mean I haven't been crafting, I just haven't had the time to blog...even now as I write this, I predict that blog posts will be kept short, with lots of  blurry photos and spelling mistakes!! During the day I get around 30mins 'me' time (if I'm lucky), so this card was made rather quickly, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's my first 'shaker' card, and I can see how fun these cards can be. I can't wait to make more cards like this (time permitted). I also had a colour using my TomBow Brush pens which have been lying around the craft room waiting to be used. I stamped with Unity Itty Bitty - Happy Chick Birthday.  I ended up printing out a 'happy bithday' sentiment because the sentiment that came with the stamp d
