Ink Road Stamps: January Colour Challenge

Image
A new year! A new month...A new Ink Road Stamps colour challenge! Here is my take on this month's  challenge . Today’s card is all about love (in preparation for February…). It’s been a few years since I’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day – not that I don’t love a box of chocolate and some flowers, but we (husband and I) tend to skip over the special day and instead celebrate our wedding anniversary the following week. So…keeping all that in mind, I decided to take the colours from this challenge and create a LOVE card! I’m using five hearts from two Ink Road Stamp sets: Blended and Bun Intended (Did you know there are also hearts in the Full Circle and Call Me Maybe sets too?) Alternating in ink colours I stamp my crazy heart background. I adhere the ‘love love love’ (Silhouette file) and added some stitched lines with my sewing machine and gold sequins for added interest. Ink Road Stamps: Inspired by Mary

There was some masking involved and I did think about depth perception a little placing the smaller balloon towards the back and putting the larger balloons up front. I added some machine sewn stitching in gold to connect the lanterns together. The sentiments ar...

Ink Road Stamps: October Colour Challenge

Image
Starting October off with an awesome colour challenge from Ink Road Stamps ! So...to inspire those who wish to play. I created two cards, both using Ink Road Stamps: Just a Number stamp set. I basically picked a few Altenew inks that matched the challenge colour palette and stamped rows of the balloon. I did some sewing to add interest to the card, and finished it off by heat embossing the sentiment. The second card uses the same idea but this time instead of straight lines I used a circle as a guide to stamp the balloons around.  Here is the card: Here is the colour palette: Oh...the BEST part!!!  Join in the challenge and one random winner will receive   $30 gift card   to spend on anything you want in the Ink Road store! So...for the rules on how to enter this fun colour challenge head on over to their blog.  Here is the direct link  or you can head on over to their Facebook group. On a side note: For those ...
