Ink Road Stamps: Happy Holla Days

Image
Hello! I'm on the Ink Road Stamps blog today with this fun Christmas card with the best sentiment ever! Here is the card! When it comes to Christmas cards I like to keep them simple enough to create a few extra cards. This card is no exception. Especially with a sentiment like that! Card Instructions: Step 1. Stamp striped image (from Between the Lines ) and sentiment ( from Happy Holla Days ) on Kraft card. Card Measurement: 10.5cm x 15.5cm Step 2. Corner punch top right corner. Step 3. Die-cut small circles (varying in size). Stamp Happy Holla Day images as shown below. Step 4. Assemble card - Use foam tape to adhere the stamped circles to your card front. Embellish with sequins and a twine bow. Adhere card front to an A6 card based . Here is the same card but in white. Which card do you prefer? Ink Road Stamps: Full Circle Let's Party!

I'm on the Ink Road Stamps blog sharing this fun card! Check it out - here . I first started by creating my stamped background using  Between the Lines . I stamped these using four ink colours I knew would work well together and in colours that I had matching paper to create my googly eyed circle characters with. You could try any combination of colours – I had even though red hats would make fun Christmas themed cards! Next, I die-cut four circles in co-ordinating cardstock. I used black ink and stamped three of them with a few stamps from  Full Circle . I stamped the sentiment from  Just A Number  on one circle and then adhered these to my card front. I don’t own any hat dies and I didn’t want to purchase a cut file so I simply cut out different sized triangles from pattern paper. These were also stamped (for added interest, using  Between the Lines ) and then adhered above each circle using foam tape. I then used a small circle punch for the pompoms ...

Ink Road Stamps: Bella Flora Meets Full Circle

Hello!  My Copic marker colouring has improved so much this year - but before I used Copic markers I would try to find other alternatives - paper piecing  for example or a technique I've used for today's card. For these cards I used smaller stamps (circles from Ink Road Stamps: Full Circle stamp) to fill in the flower image! I actually love this technique because you don't need to be precise and it is an extremely quick stamping process using a few shades of ink and a simple stamp block. I decided to use Altenew inks - they take out all the hard work of picking ink colours that work well together. After I stamped Ink Road Stamps: Bella Flora I then had my silhouette cut out the images and happily stamped the smaller circles using different shades of ink colours while watching an episode of Smallville.  This stamp set is very pretty - it almost screams out bling me up with some gold! So I embellished the card with some gold sequins and added a gold ma...

Ink Road Stamps: Emoji Fun

Image
Hello! Let me first start off by saying I LOVE this card! I didn't really think it would turn out exactly how I had thought it in my head - but it did! Which is why I needed to start off by saying - this card is AWESOME! I had been looking at Ink Road Stamp: Iconic for ages (there is a few Ink Road Stamps I haven't used yet!) figuring out which faces I want to use on what images...but while looking at the set I wished that it included a circle because how cool would an Emoji card be?! - Silly me! Ink Road stamp has a circle stamp (Full Circle stamp set)! So to make this card I used both set and included a few extra stamps from The One With All The Stamps and Call Me Maybe. I love how it turned out! For more details on how I put this card together check out my original post on Ink Road Stamp blog - here . I took a few extra photos - even though this card is basically all yellow. There are a few details such as the stitching, sentiments, googly eyes and embellish...

Ink Road Stamps: I'm All Yours ***

I made this fun grid "meow" mix card for Ink Road Stamps a few weeks back! You can check out the original post on their blog with instruction on how I went about creating this card! This was one of Ink Road Stamps first released stamp sets - it was and still is one of my favourites. I paired Meow Mix with a sentiment from Modern Romance .   I'm big on 3D details and textural elements - so I've added quite a bit of machine stitching and with the help of my silhouette cameo I was about to cut those intricate smaller stamps and add foam tape to pop them off my card front. Just look at how many stamping options are available in this set. How cute is a cat with a moustache! I absolute love stamp sets like this. Thanks for stopping by!

Ink Road Stamps: Full Circle's are Blooming

Hello – I'm back with yet another card using Ink Road Stamp  Full Circle ! This card will be my sixth card (more if you include the variations of each one) using this Ink Road Stamp set. Today’s card however, I thought a little outside the box. I thought these fun circle patterns would make great flowers…and they did!  I didn’t exactly know what I wanted to do with my background at first – but I wanted to use a bit of black and white, then add bright colours for the flowers – to make them pop of the card. So I kept my background quite simple and opted for patterned paper. I stamped the  Full Circle  stamps on two die-cut circles – I went with a bright colour first, then added black (choosing two of my favourite pattern stamps from the set) which added contrast and tied in with the background of the card. I machine stitched the stems of the flowers and grounded my flowers on the card using a grass die-cut. The leaves are also a die – but could quite ea...

Ink Road Stamp: Pattern Play with Between the Lines

I can't believe how fast the months are flying by! Last week an awful cold flew through the household - I'm only now feeling better and playing blog catch up with all my June blog post. This card was shared on Ink Road Stamps blog last week. Check out the original blog post - here . I decided to take Ink Road Stamps Between the Lines and create a triangle background which included making use of the stamp set to highlight and add interest to my background. This took quite a bit of time but well worth the effort - I kept it simple by adding the sentiments from Just a Number using the same colour palette.  While I had the stamp set out I decided to create another card. This time I stamped on strips of cardstock and stamped the sentiments directly on to the card. I added this to a black card base. I love the contrast in colour. The bright really pops of the card! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
