Ink Road Stamps: Blog Catch Up &...a card or two!

Image
It's been absolutely CRAZY and exhausting the last few weeks... I've been unwell with a nasty cold which I caught from the kids - but I'm on the mend and catching up on some much needed blog updating! Today I'm quickly sharing two cards I created for Ink Road Stamps . I'm using the stamp set Frond of You - which is probably one of my favourite sets from their first release! Here is the direct link to their blog post which has a few extra details - otherwise the cards are below for your viewing along with a video tutorial on how I created the second card!   VIDEO TUTORIAL I'm super excited to also share that the second release of Ink Road Stamps are on their way to me via snail mail. So stay tuned for some more inky fun! Happy Crafting and have a wonderful weekend! Samantha

I'm back again with another Mother's Day theme inspired card for Craftie Cafe ! This time I'm using a stamp and die set called Fancy Flowers from My Favorite Things. This blog is an extra special post as today I am also sharing my very FIRST video tutorial. You can view my second video I recently shared here -  Be kind! There were a few hiccups (and a whole bunch of editing!) but overall I'm extremely happy and excited to share it with you. In the tutorial I will share how I created the flowers for this mother's day card. You will also find below a few more card examples of non-mother's day cards to showcase how versatile this stamp set is.   ZIG Brush Pens - 047/041/044/030/082/081 I've listed the supplies below with links and a few instructions on how to create the card base. Craftie Cafe have both the stamp and die set in stock and it's such a great stamp set to have in your stash. Supplies Used: Craftie Café   ...

Unity - April 2017 Kit of the Month (plus video)

So very very recently I started playing around with video editing software to learn how to create a craft video to inspire others and share different techniques. It was one of the things in my New Years Resolution post that I wanted to achieve this year - and Yay! I did... It's still a very new skill and there is a lot of room for improvement - technically this is my second video (and I've also made a slideshow which you can view here ), but I wanted to test out what the video would look like using a lamp as a light source as that was one of the issues I had (now heading into winter and overcast weather) with my first video. I also decided that for now its best to remove sound (unless you would like to hear the car revving noises a two and four year old can make, along with the relaxing cooing noises of a 8 month old...) and to just add text for additional instructions on how I make the cards in the video.  Your feedback is very much welcome! On to the cards... ...
