StickerKitten: Celebrate with Unicorn Fairground

Hooray! I'm on the StickerKitten blog sharing yet another set of three cards I created using the Unicorn Fairground Collection Box!  You can view the original blog post here with full instructions on how to create these cards below.  These cards were a lot of fun to create - playing with the weave technique and exploring other ways to create a background using strips of paper! StickerKitten: Unicorn Fairground Part.2

Hello! Last month I received my first collection kit from StickerKitten . With it I created a fun set of three cards (you can view them here .) Soon after as I was cleaning up the mess I had made I came up with another layout to use up some more ephemera and pattern paper from their paper packs. Here is the card: Card Instructions: Step 1: Create a card front using pattern paper from Unicorn Fairground paper pack. Use a corner punch to the top right corner. Measurements: 10.5cm x 15cm Step 2: On white card stamp the sentiment 'celebrate' as shown. Trim to size. Measurements: 8cm x 7cm Step 3: Add machine stitched details. (Optional) Step 4: Using foam tape adhere the ephemera and sentiment piece to card base. Step 5: Embellish with StickerKitten sequins and finish off with a twine bow. Adhere card front to a side folding card base. Tips: Instead of machine stitched lines use a white, light purple or light grey felt tip pen to create faux stitch...

Sticker Kitten: Unicorn Fairground

June has been such a full on creative month! I’ve had so many wonderful design team packages arrive – including my very first design team package from Sticker Kitten! For today’s post I’m showcasing a set of three cards I created using bits from their Unicorn Fairground Collection Box.  Here is the first card: I wanted to combine both the stamp set and a few of the printed die-cuts from their Unicorn Fairground Die-Cut Ephemera pack. I don't often choose to work with ephemera because I love stamping so much but I was able to create three relatively simple cards under an hour - which for me is actually a world record! Below are some step by step instructions on how I created this card. I’ve kept the instruction simple – because the same process can be applied to all three cards. The main tip I have is to take your time with the stamping of the chevrons – I used my M.I.S.T.I tool which helped immensely because I could align and repeat the stamping process ...
