Uniquely Creative: First Noel (October Creative Kit Club)

Image
Hello! Today I wanted to share a whole bunch of cards I created as a guest designer for Uniquely Creative's October Creative Kit Club . This kit is now available on their web store - here . It is full of fun crafty items using Kaisercrafts First Noel collection.  I managed to create six cards with the majority of the ephemera - I love using Kraft card for Christmas cards and I like to make simple Christmas cards because they're generally made last minute and I need a lot of them. These kits are perfect for doing just that! Here is what I came up with. I love the ephemera and paper in this collections - the gold is so pretty and bright. It's hard to photograph but it is very reflective and perfect for Christmas themed cards.  Below are five more card examples using this kit. You can find more details on their  Facebook page  along with additional inspiration. There is a unboxing video which is really helpfull for those wishing to know whats ...

Elizabeth Craft Designs: Santa and Friends!

Image
Good Morning! I'm starting to feel like the weeks are flying by and the months zooming past! Anyone else feel this way? I've been preparing for a market coming up in November - this will be my first market experience selling my cards. With that in mind I thought it would be good to add some fun, very cute Christmas cards to sell at this market. Here are three cards I've created with Elizabeth Craft Designs latest character dies. I started by die cutting the stitched rectangle card base and stamping the sentiments on the inner die cut rectangle. After I added a machine stitched border, I then adhered both these pieces on to a white card base. The middle rectangle fit back like a puzzle piece. The rest of the card was quite simple. I die cut the penguin using black, white, orange, and blue card stock. I assembled him on my card front and embellished the card with some die cut snowflakes, sequins and a twine bow.  Supplies Used: Santa Claus Penguin Polar...

Jillibean Soup: Guest Designer - Bohemian Brew

Image
Life sometimes gets so crazy - I've only realise there's quite a few cards made in July that are just now being shared on my blog. Last month I guest designed for Jillibean Soup. I love their stamp and die sets especially their shaker sets - but in my lovely guest design pack I was given a whole collection! Here are a few cards I created using Bohemian Brew. I fell in love with the patterns in this 12x12 paper. I normally don't use cardstock this big - but it was perfect to use as a background for each of the cards I created. I simple cut them into strips and arranged them on my card front before adding stitched details to my card. I used up most of the empherema in the Bohemian Brew pack and also added a few stickers to create focal points and interest on my card/s. I finished each card off with sequins and a twine bow. Here are a few more cards I created using this collections. I had such a fun month in July creating these cards! Thank ...

Uniquely Creative: Guest Designer...

Image
During this week I will be sharing a few cards I created guest designing for Uniquely Creative . I've previously designed for Tracy and couldn't say no to this opportunity to play with their very new kits. Now...a little bit about these kits. You can purchase these individually or as a subscription (which does save you a little...and guarantees you happy mail!). You can also just purchase the stamps or dies on their own, so it's quite tailored to everyone's needs. The kits are AU$39.00 and you get lots of goodies to play with!  Here are two cards I created using their Stamp & Colour October kit! These penguins are super cute - remind me a little of the movie Happy Feet... I'll be back during the week featuring a few more cards created using the 'add ons' that are available along side this kit. Happy Crafting! Samantha

Uniquely Creative: Getting ready for Christmas!

Image
Hello!!! Whose ready for Christmas? ME!! I am! :) and by ready I mean I've made a whole bunch of Christmas cards using Uniquely Creative: Christmas Tree die .  Here are the cards : T o create these cards I first die-cut the tree from Christmas pattern paper (left over from last year!). Using vellum I die-cut the tree again, I adhered these (loosely) together and put them aside. Next I die-cut My Little Paper World rectangle nesting dies and then put these through an embossing folder (I used a variety of Christmas themed ones - mostly Couture Creations). I then stamped a few sentiments (Hero Arts CM100) on coloured card, trimmed them down and assembled my card. To add more interest I machine sewed a line down the middle of the tree (overlapping the sentiment banners) before matting my card front to my card base. I also added a few pearls and a star to the tree for decoration.  Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting! S...

SSS - August Kit of the Month

Image
A couple of weeks ago I had a awful cold - in fact I still don't feel 100% better but during those few days (where I needed to carry a tissue box everywhere I went!) I really just wanted to have a little me time (did I mention - the kids and hubby all had the same thing...). I really wasn't in the mood for thinking and since the kids were waking up frequently during the night I also wanted an early night...I decided to pull out one of my Simon Say's Stamp cards kits and have a play .    I actually made quite a few cards - though I did end up calling it a night and finishing a few more over the following few days.  Here are the cards using SSS - August kit of the month. In all honesty I think this stamp set and sticker are well suited for a scrapbook page - but I managed to pick a few of the stickers and work them in to these thank you themed cards. Happy Crafting! Blogger the app - and a card...

Image
So in an attempt to 'blog' more, I've downloaded the app onto my phone. I think (hope) that this will help make it easier for me to maintain my new year's resolution of keeping my blog up to date. Theoretically it's easier to access and I can quickly upload all my card photos too..So let's hope this works! Last week I finally received my  Unity  December KOTM (It took the longest route to Australia!) and I knew I had to stamp this flower immediately... I made two cards and I am still creatively forming ideas for it - I seriously love this flower. I coloured the flowers using Prismacolor pencils - I decided to use a two colour combo to colour the flowers in. I also used gold foiling to add some interest.
