Uniquely Creative: Getting ready for Christmas!

Image
Hello!!! Whose ready for Christmas? ME!! I am! :) and by ready I mean I've made a whole bunch of Christmas cards using Uniquely Creative: Christmas Tree die .  Here are the cards : T o create these cards I first die-cut the tree from Christmas pattern paper (left over from last year!). Using vellum I die-cut the tree again, I adhered these (loosely) together and put them aside. Next I die-cut My Little Paper World rectangle nesting dies and then put these through an embossing folder (I used a variety of Christmas themed ones - mostly Couture Creations). I then stamped a few sentiments (Hero Arts CM100) on coloured card, trimmed them down and assembled my card. To add more interest I machine sewed a line down the middle of the tree (overlapping the sentiment banners) before matting my card front to my card base. I also added a few pearls and a star to the tree for decoration.  Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting! S...

I'll make a few more if I get the chance - the heat guns a little noisy when there is a sleeping baby in the room! Also entered into Cards & Craft Shop Challenge - Christmas themed. Happy Crafting! Oh...How I long for Spring!

Image
Scrap with Us  had a lovely ATC theme this month of seasons. My favourite season is Spring, and with this cold winter weather I just can't wait for this season and the joyous transformations that goes along with it!  Here are the completed ATC: A brief overview on how I created this: I embossed my new hero art stamp (large flower background) in white on craft card paper slightly smaller than a ATC. I than coloured the main image using my inktense pencils (which I absolutely L.O.V.E!). Distressed the edges, then stuck it down to the ATC card (which originally was pink coloured card stock, but ended up liking the look of craft paper better - gives it a nice recycled spring feel). Then I printer 'welcome spring' (also on craft paper) and (painfully) cut each letter out individually and glued them to the ATC. (Repeat 8 times!) These are probably  my favourite ATC  so far...  Lot of fun creating these cards, and we all know I love th...

Happy Mothers Day...

Image
Well today is mother's day, and yesterday I created this card for my mum (who is absolutely 100% amazing and the bestest mum (and Lola) in the whole wide world!) It also happens to be my first mother's day this year, so a special day indeed. Don't think he did it on purpose...but I got a little sleep in this morning. I have entered this card into the  Mema's Crafts  May anything goes challenge. Theme: mother's day. Happy Mother's Day to all mums out there. Happy Crafting!   Samantha
