Ink Road Stamps: Friday Feature

Image
Check out this weeks Friday Feature on the Ink Road Stamps blog - here! So much fun creativity using The One With All The Stamps stamp set! (Bit of a mouth full...but as you can see there is quite a bit of stamps in this set!) At first I wasn't sure how I could properly create a card that showcased all these stamps! It then hit me to just use the whole stamp set as a background stamp. Which is exactly what i did. I used double sided tape and adhered the plastic (stamps facing down) on the bottom side of my MISTI and stamped it on purple card. I created my own cut design using the 'frame' as a guide which I then cut (with my silhouette) using gold card. The 'I'll Be There For You' heat embossed in gold was the perfect sentiment for this friends themed card!  I ended up creating two cards, both very similar. The second card was actually a mistake - the frame I first cut using my silhouette was too big but after I had made the first I really didn't ...

Ink Road Stamp: Friday Feature (The Struggle is Real)

Consider this Diem Carpe'd! Card created using Ink Road Stamp: The Struggle is Real .  See more inspiration using this stamp set over on the Ink Road Stamps Blog - here . I had some left over cut outs that I originally wanted to use for IRS: Call me maybe but thought they worked really well with the ‘consider this diem CARPE’D’ sentiment. So I chose 5 ink colours – I was quite random about how I chose them. I stamped the sentiment, alternating ink colours then added the speech bubbles. I embellished the card with a few gold sequins. I’ve used this set a few times now – the sentiments are fun! I think this sentiment specifically is perfect to use on a card to give someone who has just seized the day! – graduation or a job promotion etc. It’s a nice way to tell someone that they #nailedit! Happy Crafting!

Ink Road Stamps: Friday Feature

It's Friday Feature over at Ink Road Stamps blog ! Today the design team are showcasing the stamp set: Call Me Maybe . I've used this set a few times now as I love the little speech/heart bubble, so this time I thought I'd flip the idea around a little and feature the sentiments. I used my silhouette to cut out some speech bubbles so that I could stamp the sentiments in each one. I picked bright vibrant ink (Ranger dye ink) to contrast against the black. I also did some masking and ink blending - to colour the back of the hearts. I embellished the card with black twine and enamel dots.  Some of the bubbles are lifted up using foam tape - to give the card added interest.
