Growing in Unity: Day 5

Image
It's day FIVE! My final day to share some unity inspiration with you all! I prepared most of my cards two weeks ago and I had an absolute blast playing with my Unity stamp collection - I hope you've enjoyed my week too and can draw some inspiration from my style and what I've created. Remember to leave a comment each day (links to previous cards are at the end of this blog post), I will be drawing two lucky winners to win a unity grab bag at the end of my Growing in Unity week... The card below was inspired by my three year old son, actually more so by what he was watching ALL week! "The ants go marching one by one - hurrah, hurrah!" Replace ants with birds and skip to three by three - HURRAH! It's a card! These birds come from Unity stamp: Birdie Conversation . Sentiment from  Unity: How you doin' To create these cards I first stamped the bird x3 on white card then "fussy cut" them out (with my silhouette machine). Using a blen...

Growing in Unity: Day 4

Image
You're back! Day 4 for my Growing in Unity week!  If you haven't already notice (and I'm sure you have!) I am a BIG fan of white card. I wouldn't go far enough to say my style is Clean and Simple - as I like to add subtle elements such as sewn stitched lines, layered elements and sequins but it's definitely Clean and something... Today's cards have all the above elements in them.  Here is my card using Unity: How you doin' . Small stamps are awesome! I love repetitive stamping - so finding patterns, creating my own background, turning small stamps into the main feature is something that I creatively enjoy doing. I hate Maths but my brain will always figure out the many ways a small stamp can fit on a A2 sized card front.  A few ways apparently... here are two more cards I created playing around with this set. Tomorrow is my last day as a Growing in Unity girl but I'd love to inspire you more so please fe...

Growing in Unity: Day 3

Another day, another card! I decided to change it up a little with these cards. I've had this set for awhile now and I got it because of its layering potential! I'm also Lisa Arana's (artist) biggest fan! This set comes with quite a few sentiments - another reason to love Unity designs. They give you plenty of sentiment options to take a stamp set and create a whole bunch of cards with it! That's pretty much what I did here... I created this cards using Unity: ...Smile, it's your day. I sometimes find choosing colours quite challenging, so to help inspire me I did a quick Pinterest search for spring palette. I picked a few ink colours (Altenew inks) and started stamping away! I used my MISTI to assist in the stamp process and will admit that it is more challenging to layer a rubber stamp then a clear stamp - but I wasn't aiming for perfection! I first stamped my based colours and went over them with the outline stamp and didn't mi...

Growing in Unity: Day 2

Image
Welcome back to my Growing in Unity: Day 2! (If you missed Day 1 you can check it out - here .) Today's card I wanted to share some Christmas inspiration using Conspiracy of Love 10/17 KOM . I've been subscribing now for almost a year but I don't use my Kit of the Months as much as I want to (most likely because I'm a stamp hoarder who has too many stamps!) But the October kit had one little stamp that "spoke" to me and said: "pick me pick me"... so I did! Using non tradition colours and a 'rock n roll' stamping technique I stamped the images in the middle of my card front. I added circles and stars to the top and embellished it further with sequins and a machine sewn stitched lines. I added some more details to the ornaments with a glitter pen to make them pop! The sentiment is taken from Unity's: Happiest Season of All stamp set.  Whose up for a little sneak peak of tomorrows (Day 3) Growing in Unity card....
