My Application for Paper Flourish Design Team.

Image
If you've read my last post, you would know that I'm in the awful process of packing up household belongings ready to move back home in 2 weeks. However, I'm not surprised that a few craft supplies never made their way into a box and that a few have made their way out! And....even though I'm suppose to be packing up it hasn't stopped me from buying MORE craft supplies!  Anyways, here is a card I created specifically for paper flourish design team call out. You can find out more details about the DT call out here ....(open within Australia for those who wish to apply!). I created this card using Kaisercraft -Hello Sunshine paper and their Cherry Blossom Clear stamp. I also embellished using Kaisercraft black pearls. It was also my first go at using one of mama elephant dies and I totally love how it finishes this card. Oh! I also added a background stamp (on the white card stock) another Kaisercraft clear stamp - Believe. ...

A Spring Inspired Card...

This week (or should I say the last few weeks) have been super crazy busy! We got good news, my Hubby renewed his work contract with the option to move back home to Adelaide (which of course we jumped at!) So...we are now packing our belongings in to boxes and the worst room is...come on! have a guess! :) Yup!! My craft room... But its mostly packed up, with the exception of a few stamps, paper packs, a handful of embellishments and my copic markers.  Last week, in between all the craft room packing (I got distracted a few times!) I created this card, its from Unity's ...bunches of love stamps. I decided to make a few, I hate having left over paper, so I tend to create a card (generally for someone's birthday coming up) and then duplicate it so I have a stash of cards for those occasions you forget someones birthday coming up!  This was the perfect stamp set to do this! While stamping, I wished I had that misti tool Ive seen a few times now through youtube videos,...

There's a house..or two!

I LOVE this card!  Inspiration from here. I created the background using Unity Stamp: What Matters Most.  This involved lots of masking... I then used paper from Kaisercraft: Hello Sunshine and paper pieced the stamped image. Cut that out, and made a card...or two! Actually four...but who's counting... The sentiments were printed off from my computer and the little red heart was a die cut from Lawn Fawns "a little birdie told me" die set. 'Home is wherever I am with you'   'House + Love = Home' 'From our home to yours'    'Home is a starting place for LOVE and DREAMS'   Linked to Unity FWF Linked to Challenge: Unity Card Sketch (loosely followed) Thanks for stopping by! A Fun Card!

Just sharing... :) After my copic order arrived I was able to finish colouring in this stamp and create this card. I don't know about you but when I make a card, I always get to the end (or so I think so...) and go somethings missing... Add some sequins, a white dash boarder, step back...Done! COPICS: YR65 YR68 YG17 B16 R46 R20 Y11 Y15 Y19 Stamp: Unity Happy Chick Birthday This was such a fun stamp to colour, I decided I needed to make another! This time using orange as a colour base.  Link to Unity Friend with Flair . Entered into SSS Monday Challenge: B (for bird and birthday's!). #142 Entered into SSS Wednesday Challenge: Girly #553 Thanks for stopping by.  Samantha

Card #2

So here is the card I finished last night using the same stamp as my previous post. Again I used bright coloured card stock for the base, some left over scrap pattern paper, corrugated paper and my favourite whimsy farm twine! With one of the cards I used the sentiment that came with the itty-bitty stamp, but decided to also try printing a different sentiment - "a little birdie told me..." Linking up to Unity Friends with Flair Entered in to SSS Challenge - Girly #426 Entered in to Neat and Tangled Challenge - Anything goes. #20 Oh! Id also like to mention that my "not so scary" ATC - I eat crayon s monster won in Wicked Wednesdays cute creatures challenge! Super Happy!! Happy Crafting!! Samantha

A little sumptin'

I bought some new stamps from Unity about 2 weeks ago and they arrived!!! Squeal!!! So I couldn't help myself...I just had to try one out! Now my copic collection is pretty pathetic as you can see in the photo bellow, Ive had to stop this project as I only have 3 yellows, 3 pink and a whole bunch of greys. (I'm waiting on a copic order to arrive!) C'mon snail mail!! But this stamp here (newly added to my collection) was perfect for me to create a few cards, using my (6) copic markers.  I adhered the coloured stamped image to some card stock, added some whimsy farm twine , and I drew a line around to card to add a little extra something to it. I then decided that I wanted the heart to POP so I re-stamped the balloon, fussy cut the heart and stuck it down with dimensional tape.   These cards fit a 90mm x 90mm envelope. So... super cute tiny cards. I just love the bright colours! Stay ...

I Eat Crayons!

I've had some oil pastels lying around the craft room for awhile now. I've never used them before, I've always been drawn to watercolours or acrylic paint. But I figured now is a good enough time to try them out! I decided that I would create a ATC (its been awhile and I LOVE ATC!!) Figured its the perfect size to have a play with a new product that I'm really not 100% sure how to use... At first I just drew on some card stock to see what it looked like, I wasn't convinced so I smudged it with my finger and was happier with this outcome. Id say its like playing with very soft crayons.  I used book paper stuck to the ATC sized card stock as the back ground, I applied red, orange, and yellow and blended it with my finger. I then drew a (not so scary) "monster" also on book paper stuck down to card stock and coloured him in with yellow and green (again using my finger to blend in the colours). I then cut him out. It needed more... so I outlined hi...
