Be Kind.

Who doesn't love to colour?  Adult colouring books seem to be making a big splash at the moment. You can buy them in shops or online and they are absolutely stunning images/patterns. I came across this image looking at an online book (that I'm still pondering about buying)...  This one was a free image (bonus) and if you pinterest or Google you'd be able to find a number of free downloads that you could colour in without having to buy it. I printed it out a manageable size that could then be turned into a card, die cut it out and coloured it in using copic markers. (First time colouring in a large image and not leaving any white space!) I love it! Such a relaxing way to spend my nights once the kids have gone to sleep, didn't have to think much about it, just went with the flow :)  I will add that I was very happy with how my copics went with the printed page, I was concerned that it might smudge and I'm not sure how it would go with watercolour, but ...

What a cutie!

Hello! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, especially with the nice weather on Sunday - Today however, has been cold and wet! Perfect for staying home and making cards!  This card was very fun to make. I used mama Elephants - in my heart stamp/die set and Wplus9 - hello die cut. And on the inside I printed out the words 'Birthday Girl'. I can't wait to play with this stamp set some more this week. Link up to: Happy Crafting!  Samantha

Mother's Day Card #2

Image
So...I had thought I was all organised this year, I had already made my mum in law her mothers day card. But my hubby asked if I could make another one with a specific sentiment...so I did! : No excuses needed here to get crafty! Bonus:  now I'm all organised with a mother's day card for next year too :) Entered into SSS: Lets get sentimental challenge. But wait! There's more... I loved making this card with this stamp from mama elephant. Super easy stamping technique too - using coloured pigment inks over white.   So using the same technique and stamps I made this for my mum. Happy Crafting! Samantha

Unity Challenge

Image
So I've been a little quiet this last week on my blog but I have been super busy (still settling in/unpacking boxes) and getting creative. Today I'm sharing a quick card I created for this months unity's challenge (my second entry for this month)... I wanted to create something bold with funky patterns and this paper was perfect. I used stamps: Have some Sass and another stamp from the SMAK kit February 2015.  I followed the sketch (see below) very loosely - wanted to change it up a little :) Enjoy!       This is my FWF entry for this week and entered into Simon Says Stamp: Lets get sentimental Challenge. Thanks for stopping by and for those crafty mums out there - I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day on Sunday :)  Happy Crafting! Samantha
