This is my last post before the new year of which I'll have some very exciting news to share and of course a lot more card inspiration. This year I achieved a few of my personal 'creative' goals - I started a YouTube channel which has a total of (14) videos and I also made a few design teams and guest appearances. My goals for 2018 are pretty much the same except I want to do more - more videos, more guest appearances. I'd like to reach 1000 followers on Instagram and reach 50 subscribers on YouTube . Lastly I want to encourage myself to always try new things - towards the end of this year I feel I found and settled into my card style - but I don't want to limit myself to this. I'm back again for Ink Road Stamps with one of my favourite cards I've created for them so far!  I'm using Ink Road Stamps: Majestic AF and though I originally had other plans and a little bit of crafter's block I'm so in LOVE with this stamp and the finished card I made! Here is the link to the IRS blog for more details on how I created these cards and...a free cut file! - provided by the lovely Mary (also on the design team) which helped me unblock my block.  Now on to the cards... Yup, that's right a Black Unicorn! I cut the file (with my silhouette) using black card thinking I'd use it as a stencil - but I ended up loving the contrast in colour and decided to give paper piecing a go since it's been awhile since I've used this technique. Merry Christmas everyone! For me - Christmas is about family, sharing the magic (and the meaning) of Christmas with my little ones and eating as much pudding as I want without feeling guilty!!! It's also about cranking that Christmas music up because I LOVE singing Christmas songs whilst I bake, wrap presents and clean the house in preparation for tonight's dinner - which I am hosting! So it's a quick post today - sharing some Christmas cards I created for Ink Road Stamps - Friday Feature using Full Circle. I made a few different colour combos with this card - which I'm glad I did for those last minute Christmas cards people bring with them...  To create these cards I created a template on my Silhouette. I then took some scrap white card big enough to adhere between the card front and card base and stamped an assortment of full circle stamps (alternating in ink colours). The lovely Kasia ( Ink.Paper.Cloth.Life ) handed me the December kit and asked if I wanted to have a play! I really couldn't say no...after all how cute are these!!! My last guest appearance for Uniquely Creative I got to play around with penguins (blog link: here ) I honestly thought: "can't get any cuter than this" - but apparently you can!  The cards below use the snorkel pals add-on stamp, but the stamp in the kit (which I ended up purchasing after I made these cards) are equally beautiful designs (mermaids - I LOVE mermaids!). I intend to create more ocean/sea themed cards after the crazy Christmas period and inbetween the quietness of waiting for the new year!    Here is the first card: (this card makes me giggle a little!) Hello - Today I am sharing a card I created using a stamp by Elizabeth Craft Designs called Jungle Cuties. I've had this stamp for awhile and I specifically wanted it for the elephant but I'm really into monkeys at the moment -so... Ta-dah we have another monkey card...  I really wanted to get my copics out too - I don't colour enough, I really enjoy it though so I've made a decision to colour more in 2018. I love the designs in this stamp set - the images are simple enough to colour and its always nice when you already have the copic markers that work well with a design. I have a lot of greens and quite a few browns so I wasn't pondering over colour combos which I sometimes feel is half the challenge when you don't have all the markers and lots of gaps in between. Hello and welcome to another card for Craftie Café … I’ve eyed this brand off for a while now and thought it fitting for this month’s summer theme that I’d finally give them a go. Originally, I wanted to use the sunshine stamp/die but it was ‘out of stock’ when I went back to check it – so I decided to go with the Jillibean Soup - Watts Up .  I chose these because a few months back I was inspired by a few cards I saw using a technique with a blending tool – a relatively simple masking technique that allows you to create sunbeams/sunshine or light beams (I’m not sure exactly what else you’d call it?) but it looked fun, and interesting and I really wanted to try it out. Jillibean Soup also have interesting sets that allow you to easily create shaker cards – which I also think is a fun idea for summer cards.   Here is the card: There are probably a few video tutorials on this – but I really enjoy figuring this stuff out so after a practice on some printer paper...

Today I am very quickly sharing some cards (in case you missed it on the Ink Road Stamps blog - view here ) that I created after seeing Mary (one of my fellow IRS design team gals) create a fun layout using Ink Road Stamp set - Just a number . I absolutely love some of the ideas and concepts that scrapbookers put into one page. So much detail, colours, and subtle embellishments - if anything the biggest challenge was picking just one element and then figuring out how to squeeze it all onto a small card! It was a pretty fun stamping process - I chose colours from the current December colour challenge and using the three balloons flipped them upside down to create lanterns - stamping each one in alternating colours. There was some masking involved and I did think about depth perception a little placing the smaller balloon towards the back and putting the larger balloons up front. I added some machine sewn stitching in gold to connect the lanterns together. The sentiments ar...
