Inspiration everywhere!

So yesterday in Big W as I was looking through the book section (wanting to buy one for my little boy) I came across this colouring book which I immediately drew inspiration from. 


So for $5.00 I bought it and with my inktense pencils have been colouring in this book full of flower doodles (I feel like a little girl again). Not only have I been colouring in but I got the inspiration to do my own flower doodle and of course colour it in with my inktense pencils.

Here is a photo of my flower: 



 I drew it first in pencil. I liked knowing that if I did a mistake that I could erase it. I then used my micron pens (no.3) and went over it.

I just love the vibrant colours...and working with my inktense pencils was so easy. It took an hour to colour in the whole flower. I used Tim Holtz distress ink pads with a blending tool to create the background. 

Pinterest is also a great source of inspiration. I have started a new board called Zentangles/Doodling of which I am adding more and more pin to as I just love this technique/style. I wonder how I can add this to more of my work...

Yippee!! A Super Quick Card!

Just sharing another card I made (with the help of master 2 1/2yo). Stamp is unity -  Vase with stripes.  C oloured with prisma pencils and gamsol. A super quick card to make as master 2 1/2yo did most of the work. A Spring Inspired Card...

This week (or should I say the last few weeks) have been super crazy busy! We got good news, my Hubby renewed his work contract with the option to move back home to Adelaide (which of course we jumped at!) So...we are now packing our belongings in to boxes and the worst room is...come on! have a guess! :) Yup!! My craft room... But its mostly packed up, with the exception of a few stamps, paper packs, a handful of embellishments and my copic markers.  Last week, in between all the craft room packing (I got distracted a few times!) I created this card, its from Unity's ...bunches of love stamps. I decided to make a few, I hate having left over paper, so I tend to create a card (generally for someone's birthday coming up) and then duplicate it so I have a stash of cards for those occasions you forget someones birthday coming up!  This was the perfect stamp set to do this!
