May Card Kit - Sneak Peek

Image
So next month (May) marks my last few cards designed for Paper Flourish card/scrapbook kits. I had an awesome experience designing for them, and got to learn quite a bit including stretching out dies and applying them to my cards!  May's kit is quite pretty and I loved the colours used in Kaisercrafts collection - Mermaid Tails. For more information on how to purchase a 'craft in a box' kit visit Paper Flourish's Blog - here .  I'll leave you with a quick sneak peak of my cards made for next month (which will be on sale at the beginning of May). It also occured to me that Mother's day is fast approaching - which means for those who havent already purchased My Little Paper World Dies or Sequins now is your chance to get them on SALE!! More details to come...  :)  Come and join MLPW facebook group to get news, latest releases, competitions, and  lots of inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by!  Samantha MLP...

A Unity Challenge.

Image
Each week Unity Stamps have a different challenge - this week I've decided to play. I'll admit it was a little bit of an easy challenge as I had already watercoloured my image a few weeks ago, but with everything going on with the release of My Lit tle Paper World dies as well as designing for my next release it was never made into a card  (Like so many other completed stamped images collecting in a box)! Today's card uses Elephant Celebrations from their itty bitty range.   Also linked to  Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes Challenge. Reminder to come on over a join My Little Paper World group on Facebook to get information on sales, competitions, and of course lots of card inspiration! Details for Mother's Day sale coming soon! Thanks for stopping by. Samantha

How organised for mother's day are you???

Image
So who here has sorted their mother's day cards out? I'm one smart cookie, I'm 1 year in advance! So I've now made my mother's day card for next year plus a few more for special orders. :) This (or should I say next) years card is a pretty simple one! I got some unity stamps in the mail this week and decided to combine two of them. I also decided to make a friendship card (as this was the original sentiment with the butterfly stamps). I stamped them on Kraft (my go to...) then coloured outside the lines of the butterfly. Add some twine and enamel dots and you've got a card!!! Of course...I used My Little Paper World dies, this time I managed to use the circle nesting dies - TRIBAL which I haven't had a chance to use yet!  Heads up there will be on sale for my dies on mother's day (which I will get to celebrate with my 2 boys and #3 who is due not soon enough!)    Here is the card for some mother's day inspiration! I just couldn't help myself...

So yesterday I blogged this post - a card I made a few days ago and I just could resist having another little play last night!  Using Unity's 'on my way' stamp and my Rectangle nesting dies - TRIBAL . I coloured the image using my Zig brush pens and came up with this colour combo!  It really is a fun little stamp set :) Thanks for stopping by! A Unity Challenge

Image
I have a whole bunch of unity stamps that are just collecting dust!!! So I am making a HUGE effort to get through them all and use them (at least once!). Unity currently run weekly challenges, and its a great excuse to move through my very large collection!  This weeks photo challenge (below) I took the blacks, blues, yellows and green and used them to make this card. I used ZIG clean colour water brushes and originally was going to use a more water-coloured looked (to complement the photo) but I was so impressed with the bright colours I decided to just go with it!  I used My Little Paper World - Rectangle Nesting Dies (TRIBAL) to die-cut some water colour paper, stamped Unity's 'on me way' a couple of times and coloured it in! Added black card and stamped the sentiment using white embossing powder.  I'm not finished with this stamp set - I'm going to play around some more with the colours and perhaps try adding water to get the original ...

My 100th Blogpost!

Image
Wow! I realised this week that my next post (this one) will be my 100th post of blogging!!! I think its a positive milestone for me to reach too :) In the past I've been quite slack in my blogging, I use to have long breaks in my creativity but this last 12 months I have made quite an effort to get back into it all. Being part of a design team has helped, as well as my recent journey of designing a few dies. So I thought for this post I would have a little throwback and share my very first blogged creative project. Here it is! 3 years ago I made this - I still have this handing up on a shelf.  To be honest, I'd love to get back into creating 'off the page' non-card items like this again, but juggling 2 young children (a 3rd on the way) as well as everything else means craft projects like this take too long to keep my interest...  So here is to the next 100+ blog post :) and...  I think a little giveaway is in order too! As most of you k...
