Growing in Unity: Day 5

It's day FIVE! My final day to share some unity inspiration with you all! I prepared most of my cards two weeks ago and I had an absolute blast playing with my Unity stamp collection - I hope you've enjoyed my week too and can draw some inspiration from my style and what I've created. Remember to leave a comment each day (links to previous cards are at the end of this blog post), I will be drawing two lucky winners to win a unity grab bag at the end of my Growing in Unity week...

The card below was inspired by my three year old son, actually more so by what he was watching ALL week! "The ants go marching one by one - hurrah, hurrah!" Replace ants with birds and skip to three by three - HURRAH! It's a card! These birds come from Unity stamp: Birdie Conversation. Sentiment from Unity: How you doin'

To create these cards I first stamped the bird x3 on white card then "fussy cut" them out (with my silhouette machine). Using a blending tool I added to each bird a gradient blend of ink (Ranger: Cheese Puff, Electric Lime, and Whild Orchid). I then took some time to re-stamp each bird (in a row), this time on my white card front. I then stamped the flag 3x on co-ordinating coloured card and 'fussy cut' this out. I adhered the bird 'bodies' and the flags with foam tape. Next I die-cut some grass (Lawn Fawn die) adhered this to my card front and added a machine stitched line. I finalised the card by adding the sentiments and adhering my card front to a black card base.

Below are a couple more card examples using a similar process as above.

Thank you so much for stopping by - your positive comments all week have been wonderfully uplifting. Please find below links to where you can find me and more inspiration on social media and remember to leave a comment to be entered into a Unity sponsored prize, drawn at the end of my Growing in Unity week.
