Uniquely Creative: Hip Hip Hooray (April Stamp & Colour Take #2 )

Image
Last week I shared two fun interactive cards using Uniquely Creative 's April Stamp & Colour Kit . Today I'm sharing a few more cards using this kit. These cards are probably my favourite makes for this month - aside from being very cute monsters I really enjoyed exploring my colouring technique with my Copic Markers. Here is the first card: This was actually the last card I created in this series - but it's my favourite so its being shared first!  The stamp set is called Out of this World and I've paired it up with Uniquely Creative's: Hip Hip Hooray dies.  Each monster was coloured in with Copic markers then cut out with my Silhouette Cameo. I then repeated the same process with their little party hats with the same colours I had used for the monsters. To create my card base I die cut the 'Hip Hip Hooray' die on black card and filled in the gaps by ink blending on scrap white card then adhering them to the back.  I adhered my little mon...

Ink Road Stamps: Eat CAKE! (April)

Super quick share today...catching up on some blog writing!  Here is a card I created using Ink Road Stamps: Block Party Alphas + Outline .  This card was up on the Ink Road Stamps Blog where I share details on how I went about creating this card. You can view this blog post - here . This card is a great example of how versatile alphabet stamps like this can be. I used simple stamping and heat embossing to create a fun card and...I loved how easy it was to create my own sentiments! Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy Life. Eat Cake!

Elizabeth Craft Designs: Happy Birthday! (for the boys)

I was going through my card stash - looking for holes in card themes and no surprise really but I don't make a lot of masculine cards. Even if I took a quick snap shot of my stamp stash you'd mostly see butterflies, flowers and cute girly images...even the stamps or dies that could generate a lot of boy themed cards such as fun geometric shapes are generally used with girlish colours in mind... So for today's card I decided that I really wanted to create a masculine themed birthday card using Elizabeth Craft Designs: Decorative Edges die. Here is what I came up with: I added interest by sewing machine stitched lines. The silver glittery stars were a fun element to add to this birthday themed card. The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs: Banner Sentiments stamp and was heat embossed in white. Here is a second card I created using the same pattern paper and dies. This time I changed the design slightly, reversed the card base and sentiment col...

Craftie Cafe: The Same But Different... (Just Add Balloons!)

Image
Recently I’ve been making an effort to use up all the scrap paper that is produced after a card has been made…You know…the strips of paper not big enough to use but too big to throw away! My last few cards for Craftie Café  showcased Jane Doodles:Home Sweet Home stamp and a fun paper piecing technique – but I had so much left over paper that I really didn’t want to throw it away and some of it was already stamped on from an idea that I decided not to do. So today I’m sharing three cards – I decided to do a reversal of colours. Instead of a kraft card base, I’m using a white card base and because I only had strips of paper left I’ve added Lawn Fawns: Party Balloon dies to create this fun birthday card. I’ve also added the sentiment from Jane’s Doodle: Plant stamp set. If you couldn’t guess my inspiration for this card is from the Up movie, I recently watched this with my kids (it’s one of my favourite movies with a sweet story line…) SUPPLIES LIST: ...

Uniquely Creative: Stamp and Colour April Kit

Uniquely Creative : Stamp and Colour kit for April came out today...and...I'm guest designing! When I received the stamps for this months release I was rather excited about it - this one is for the BOYS! Rocket ships, (cute) monsters, space themed fun!  Check out what I came up with! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... That's right! It wobbles! I really couldn't help but add a interactive component to this already fun card.  I coloured the images using my Copic Markers (I've listed the specific markers in the supplies list below). These were then machine (Silhouette Cameo) cut and adhered to my card base which is pattern paper that comes in this kit. I used Uniquely Creative: Numbers die to add a count down feature and heat embossed the sentiment on black card. Glossy accents were added to the stars and I embellished the card with sequins.  You'll also notice that I used my silhouette to cut this spaceship out in a way that allowed me to create some dimension with...
