Hello! Welcome back! This card was shared over at the StickerKitten blog last week - I'm playing blog catch up this month (because October has been absolutely CRAZY!)  Today I'm sharing a few cards I created from the latest collection box from StickerKitten! Its called Alpaca Wishes and just like the name suggests its got really cute Alpaca's and a soft Christmas Wintery feel to it. It's one of my favourite collections so far!  When I decide to create a set of cards I generally like to pick a technique or idea that can be creatively developed in different ways. These cards all focus around banners and I've included a quick tutorial below.  Supplies List: Alpaca Wishes Collection Box Alpaca Wishes Christmas Sequins Alpaca Wishes Die-Cut Ephemera Alpaca Wishes Christmas Paper Pack Alpaca Wishes Photopolymer Stamps (Christmas Alpacas) Other: Cardstock Grey Ink Sewing Machine Tape Runner/Glue dots/Multi Medium Matte Paper Trimme...

The dinosaur is a silhouette cameo cut and of course I added my signature stitching and embellished the card with enamel dots and a twine bow. I also added Between the Line stamp set to add detail to the dinosaur! It came together really well... Happy Crafting!

Craftin Desert Divas: Florals & Fairy tales (Creative Challenge)

Image
During the week Craftin Desert Divas had a Florals and Fairy Tales Creative Challenge. My favourite fairy tales growing up were The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan. I also loved The Last Unicorn movie (which I wouldn't class as a fairy tale) but unicorns are definitely classed as magical and up there with the dragons, princesses and fairies. The Magical Wishes stamp set has all three characters - so it was perfect for this weeks theme. I've created a few mermaid/ocean themed cards over the last few months and I really wanted to create a background that reflected the waves without re-using dies I've previously used to create the sea or waves. This die is from Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frames and using a few different shades of blue pattern paper and card stock I created a repetitive die cut back ground. I LOVE small dies - especially ones that can create a pattern.  I added machine stitched details and embellished the card with sequins and a twine bow. The stam...

Late last month I shared a blog post about paper tearing using StickerKittens Mermaid Treasure Collection Box . I made so many cards I decided to share these cards over two blog posts. If you missed the first blog you can view it - here . The first blog post included card instructions and a few tips on paper tearing. Its probably one technique I haven't used in the longest time but it works so well with this collection box . I basically teared the majority of the paper packs to come up with different ways to pl...

Uniquely Creative: First Noel (October Creative Kit Club)

Image
Hello! Today I wanted to share a whole bunch of cards I created as a guest designer for Uniquely Creative's October Creative Kit Club . This kit is now available on their web store - here . It is full of fun crafty items using Kaisercrafts First Noel collection.  I managed to create six cards with the majority of the ephemera - I love using Kraft card for Christmas cards and I like to make simple Christmas cards because they're generally made last minute and I need a lot of them. These kits are perfect for doing just that! Here is what I came up with. I love the ephemera and paper in this collections - the gold is so pretty and bright. It's hard to photograph but it is very reflective and perfect for Christmas themed cards.  Below are five more card examples using this kit. You can find more details on their  Facebook page  along with additional inspiration. There is a unboxing video which is really helpfull for those wishing to know whats ...
