Beth Duff Designs: New Challenge (FREE Digi!)

This is probably one of the brightest cards I've ever created! All inspired by this super cute dinosaur digi stamp which is available (free) over at Beth Duff Designs blog for her very first challenge!

This guys little face is how I feel some days - Old but still young at heart, "trying to be cool"... I've caught my eldest child giving me the 'what are you doing' look a few times...
I decided to create  a birthday shaker card using a combination of Lawn Fawn and Concord and 9th balloon dies. I created my card base using left over bits of corrugated card and featured little die cut hearts which I then added machine stitched lines in co-ordinating colours. I kept the  same colour theme throughout the card and opted to only colour in parts of the dinosaur using my Copic markers. I call him my little white dinosaur.

There are a lot of elements in this card so I went a little over board with some detailed photos below - but there's texture, sparkle, twine and of course the fun shaker part that I wanted to share with you.

Growing in Unity: Day 1

Yippee!! After waiting 11 months, 10 days, it's finally my week to share my Unity cards. 5 whole days of inspiration is coming your way...oh! and lets not forget the sponsored giveaway by Unity at the end of my week - a grab bag with 25 random stamps! My first card I decided to use one of my favourite sets - I actually combined two (no, three!) Unity sets that really go well together. How do you use your Unity stamps? Would you mix and match them? When I first starting stamping (15 years ago) the thought of mixing sets would make me cringe - but now... no problems! I think it's a great way to make the most of your stamp collection. A Super Quick Card!

Just sharing another card I made (with the help of master 2 1/2yo). Stamp is unity -  Vase with stripes.  C oloured with prisma pencils and gamsol. A super quick card to make as master 2 1/2yo did most of the work.
