Craftin Desert Divas: Sneak Peek (Skatin By!)

Have you been following Craftin Desert Divas this week? We are Day 2 of sneak peaks for the July release! Check out the card I created using Skatin By! I also used the new release Swirl stencil.



I haven't used stencils in the longest time - to be honest I'd say if I tried to open any of my mixed media pastes/art supplies they'd all be rock hard...it's been that long! So for my cards today I traced the stencil and used the scan and cut feature (PixScan) on my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the swirl design from three different pieces of coloured card. This allowed me to mix and match colours and create three cards.
For each card I added a machine stitched border and lines to highlight the swirl. I also added Craftin Desert Divas sequins and finished each card off with a twine bow.

The Skatin By animals were coloured in with Copic Markers - which I have listed below:

Growing in Unity: Day 1

Yippee!! After waiting 11 months, 10 days, it's finally my week to share my Unity cards. 5 whole days of inspiration is coming your way...oh! and lets not forget the sponsored giveaway by Unity at the end of my week - a grab bag with 25 random stamps! My first card I decided to use one of my favourite sets - I actually combined two (no, three!) Unity sets that really go well together. How do you use your Unity stamps? Would you mix and match them? When I first starting stamping (15 years ago) the thought of mixing sets would make me cringe - but now... no problems! I think it's a great way to make the most of your stamp collection. A Super Quick Card!

Just sharing another card I made (with the help of master 2 1/2yo). Stamp is unity -  Vase with stripes.  C oloured with prisma pencils and gamsol. A super quick card to make as master 2 1/2yo did most of the work.
