Monkey Card

Image
Firstly, my little goal of keeping my blog up to date by using the app is not working! The app. is pretty basic and has some serious issues that I wont even bother going into! For those who do like my card inspirations I can say that my instagram is regularly updated - come over and say hello! My Little Paper World on Instagram - here So on to the card... I'm a little in love with monkeys at the moment - so don't be surprised if the next few cards are of monkeys! This little guy is a unity itty bitty stamp. I also get a chance to use my new dies from Waffle Flower. This is a 5x7 sized card. Love it! I coloured them in with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  The second card I made (below) is smaller using My Little Paper World Tribal nesting dies.  Entered into Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes . Blogger the app - and a card...

So in an attempt to 'blog' more, I've downloaded the app onto my phone. I think (hope) that this will help make it easier for me to maintain my new year's resolution of keeping my blog up to date. Theoretically it's easier to access and I can quickly upload all my card photos too..So let's hope this works! Last week I finally received my  Unity  December KOTM (It took the longest route to Australia!) and I knew I had to stamp this flower immediately... I made two cards and I am still creatively forming ideas for it - I seriously love this flower. I coloured the flowers using Prismacolor pencils - I decided to use a two colour combo to colour the flowers in. I also used gold foiling to add some interest. Resolutions... 2017 goals!

Image
So personal goals aside (loose weight, drink less sugary drinks, etc) I've made a few creative goals that I'd like to complete in the year 2017. I plan on keeping the 'DO NOT BUY MORE PAPER!' rule I started late last year, and I've been pretty good with sticking to it. I've listed below what I'd like to achieve.  Get on a Design Team.  Create a Video and get a YouTube account. Practice more Watercolour (a lot) Spruce up the blog design... Keep craft room clean (I've failed this one every year...) This month I applied for 3 Design Team opportunities. I haven't heard back from any but will keep trying. I miss that little creative push being on a design team gives and I could do with a little bit of a challenge creatively.   Do you have any creative goals to achieve 2017? Here are two more cards I created using a Itty Bitty Unity Stamp . Thanks for stopping by. Here's to a inspirational 2017 and hopefully a cleaner craft...

Happy New Year!

Image
Yes... I know... I'm well and truly behind this year! Especially with the blog writing! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a safe new year. I was lucky enough to have my husband home for the holiday break plus a little more. It meant getting a lot of those little house hold chores done - like sorting the garage, clearing out some kids toys, fixing lights, cleaning the back yard, flipping mattresses,  buying a new toaster, storing away winter clothes and for me (alone) it also meant catching up on some much needed sleep. It also gave me some time to make cards which is what I will be sharing with you today. I'm a big fan of paper piecing - always have been...when I'm lazy and don't feel like colouring its my go to technique. I made three cards using this cute flamingo stamp from Unity Stamp Co.  Are you big fans of paper piecing? I will say that I generally will choose an image that's relatively easy to cut!  Happy Crafting!...

CAS(E ) have a sweet sketch challenge up at the moment! Here is the sketch: Here is my CAS(E) card of this sketch... I used MFT - Oh Christmas Tree Stamp set and co-ordinating dies , along with a HeroArts stamp sentiment. My Little Paper World nesting dies. I loved it so much that I made another. I'll make a few more if I get the chance - the heat guns a little noisy when there is a sleeping baby in the room! Also entered into Cards & Craft Shop Challenge - Christmas themed. Happy Crafting!
